Amazing Cosplayer’s faithfully adapt one of Bloodborne’s best fights by recreating Lady Maria and The Hunter with stunning costumes and photography.
Two incredible cosplayers recently took on the task of recreating one of Bloodborne‘s best boss battles thanks to jolly cooperation. After Bloodborne launched on the PlayStation 4 in 2015, it immediately set itself apart from Dark Souls and other games developed by world-famous game developer FromSoftware. The game places players in a rotting gothic Victorian-era city filled with decaying monsters, Lovecraftian horrors, and incredibly well-dressed people who happen to be losing their sanity thanks to interdimensional alien-monster blood.
Bloodborne thrilled PS4 owners upon release but disappointed anyone who wanted to experience Bloodborne on Xbox or PC. Fans fell in love with the game’s aggressive combat style and outstanding art design. The game’s look created a spark in many cosplayers’ creativity that has since become a raging flame that could easily burn up any werewolf. Countless creative minds have gone to the lengths of bringing the game’s characters to life, but two fans recently exercised their talents to bring one of Bloodborne‘s most tragic characters and best boss fights to our realm.
Talented cosplayers Anastasia Miramarta and Muraki_Cosplay shared on Instagram their interpretation of Bloodborne‘s fateful encounter with Lady Maria of the Astralclock tower. Anastasia’s talent with costuming and make-up are on full display in the pictures showcasing the dramatic encounter. Pictured is Muraki’s well-equipped Hunter approaching the pale woman only to be met with hostility. Lady Maria’s character then enters a stance preparing to end Muraki’s Hunter, who looks ready to pistol parry her if he can successfully time his attack before getting a blood-magic cross slash to the face.
Many cosplayers have tackled Bloodborne‘s gothic Victorian style after experiencing the game. Especially after the game’s DLC, The Old Hunters, was released, which added a substantial amount of boss fights, gameplay, and even more tragic lore to the game’s dark world. Anastasia’s and Muraki’s work on the Lady Maria encounter is one of the many unique takes on the tragic character whose backstory is filled with love, loss, and a very tall doll. Many have fallen in love with the character of Lady Maria and have done their best to recreate her likeness. These two cosplayers have succeeded where the First Hunter Gehrman had failed in his mission to recreate his lost love in the game’s infamous Doll.
Fans of the Lovecraftian Gothic Action RPG game have been hungry for more content. With ongoing rumors building of a PC port and even a Bloodborne sequel, love for the game continues. However, with no official news of a return to the game’s city of Yharnam, cosplayers are helping keep the franchise alive thanks to the incredible passion and dedication of people like Anastasia and Muraki. The dynamic costumes and characters portrayed in the many awesome cosplays will continue to lure people into the world of Bloodborne, and giving it a try may liberate you from your wild curiosity.
Bloodborne is available to purchase on the PlayStation Store.
