Company news: SU grad Kelsey Davis selected for Google for Startups Black Founders Fund
Kelsey Davis, founder and CEO of CLLCTVE, has been selected to join the second cohort of the Google for Startups Black Founders Fund, a $10 million initiative designed for black founders, who are building companies and yet are often locked out of access to the funding that is critical to their success.

Davis graduated from Syracuse University with a bachelor of science in television, radio and film in 2019, and an M.S. in entrepreneurship and emerging enterprises in 2020. She is a former member of the Syracuse Tech Garden and consultant for CenterstateCEO as they work to create more diversity and inclusion initiatives for their incubator ecosystem.
Davis is also a Forbes 30 Under 30 honoree.
CLLCTVE is the portfolio platform providing creators the tools, resources and network to create the life they want. Through the Black Founders Fund, CLLCTVE will receive $100,000 in non-dilutive capital and technical support from tools and teams across Google, including as much as $120,000 in donated search Ads from Google.org and up to $100,000 in Google Cloud credits. Last year, founders who received awards went on to raise more than $50M in capital and 80% of recipients used the funding to create jobs. The organization worked for the City of Syracuse when it first kicked off.
