EA Play is a monthly paid subscription service that will allow players on Xbox One, Xbox Series S, Xbox Series X, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5 and PC to get early access to FIFA 22, but you’ll only have a ten-hour trial period to play the game.
The Standard Edition of FIFA 22 will be released on October 1 2021, with the Ultimate Edition of FIFA 22 having a special feature that will let you access the game from September 27 2021, but EA Play will allow you to play FIFA 22 much earlier than this.

How to get early access to FIFA 22 with EA Play
EA Sports has confirmed that EA Play members on Xbox One, Xbox Series S, Xbox Series X, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5 can kick off their FUT 22 journey with a 10-hour trial starting from Wednesday, September 22, 2021. EA Play Pro players will also have full game access on PC starting from September 22.
Despite only having access to a 10-hour trial, all of your progress will carry over when the full game becomes active upon release on October 1. Or for those who pre-ordered the Ultimate Edition, full game access will begin Monday, September 27, four days ahead of worldwide launch on Friday, October 1.

In addition, EA Play will also give you additional content, including:
- An untradeable 80-84 OVR Player Pick and a 10-game loan Team of the Week (TOTW) player earned via special Early Access Objectives
- Team of the Week #1 with boosted Items highlighting the best performing players from the previous week’s footballing action
- The first Featured TOTW Item of FUT 22
- A limited-time Early Access Live FUT Friendly where you can compete for pack rewards
- OTW Player Squad Building Challenge (SBC) available exclusively during Early Access
What is EA Play and how to get early access to FIFA 22
EA Play is a subscription service that costs £3.99 per month or £19.99 annually for Xbox, PlayStation and PC.
If you sign up for EA Play, you will get early access to select new releases, including FIFA 22, for up to 10 hours of playtime, unlimited access to The Play List and a 10% discount on EA digital purchases.
There’s also an EA Play Pro subscription, which costs £14.99 per month or £89.99 annually , but this is only available for PC players.
However, EA Play membership is available to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and Xbox Game Pass for PC subscribers at no additional cost. Xbox Game Pass for Console does not include EA Play.
With EA Play Pro, you get early access to deluxe versions of new games, pro-level rewards and content, unlimited access to The Play List and a 10% discount on EA digital purchases.
If you do decide to use EA Play to get 10 hours early access to FIFA 22, don’t forget that you will still have to purchase an edition of FIFA 22 to play the game after your 10-hour trial has expired.
