The PS5 Digital Edition costs $399.99 and does not feature a disc drive. Meanwhile, the PS5 costs $499.99 and comes with a disc drive.
It’s worth noting that there are no performance or power changes between the PS5 and the PS5 Digital Edition.
The PS5 Digital Edition has a significantly smaller profile due to the lack of a disc drive, hence there are apparent cosmetic changes between the two devices.
Physical media, such as PS5 and PS4 games, DVDs, and 4K UHD Blu-ray movies, cannot be played on the PS5 Digital Edition.

Is PlayStation 5 digital edition available at Target?
Target’s website has sold out of PlayStation 5 consoles for the time being.
According to tech YouTuber Jake Randall, several larger Target stores had 150-200 PS5 units.
However, many stores only have 20 to 40 units, and although this may not appear to be a large sum, the company has previously held restocks with lesser quantities of product per shop.
Earlier today, February 10, the PS5 Digital Edition was in stock at Target, but the stores had small inventory counts.
Target is one of the few stores that solely sells standalone consoles, so this is likely one of the reasons why the console sold out so quickly.
