Oklahoma State falls to No. 19 Texas Tech 78-57

Oklahoma State continues its three-game road trip with a matchup against Texas Tech in Lubbock Thursday night. Tipoff is scheduled for 6 p.m. CT on ESPN+/Big 12 Now with Ted Emrich and Bryndon Manzer on the call. The Cowboys have lost five of their seven games overall, while the Red Raiders are coming off a big upset win over previously unbeaten No. 1 Baylor on Tuesday. Texas Tech 10, Oklahoma State 2 (15:44) — Texas Tech took an early lead scoring on its first two possessions with a 3-pointer by Kevin McCullar and a dunk by Bryson Williams. Momentum continued for the Red Raiders, who jumped out to a 10-0 lead three minutes in as Oklahoma State called a timeout. The Cowboys finally ended their scoring drought with a pair of free throws from Avery Anderson. 

Texas Tech 16, Oklahoma State 6 (11:33) — Isaac Likekele hit two free throws out of the break to make it 10-4. The Cowboys did not make their first field goal until the 12:31 mark of the first half on a dunk by Matthew-Alexander Moncrieffe. Texas Tech got a pair of 3-pointer jumpers from Kevin Obanor.

Texas Tech 19, Oklahoma State 18 (7:45) — Oklahoma State finally got some offensive rhythm going with back-to-back 3-pointers following a strong dunk by Moussa Cisse. The Pokes continued an 8-0 run to force Texas Tech to call a timeout. Oklahoma State closed the gap even more with a jumper by Bryce Thompson.

Texas Tech 29, Oklahoma State 22 (3:53) — Bryce Williams tied the game with a 3-pointer for Oklahoma State. Adonis Arms put Texas Tech up 29-22 with a pair of 3-point jumpers. 

Texas Tech 42, Oklahoma State 27 (0:00) — Keylan Boone hit a 3, but it was quickly answered by another 3-pointer by Kevin Obanor on the other end. Texas Tech went on a 7-0 run to extend its lead to 38-26 before Moussa Cisse hit two free throws for Oklahoma State. The Cowboys went without a field goal in the final 3:27 of the first half.


Texas Tech 50, Oklahoma State 34 (15:51) — Bryce Williams opened the second-half scoring for Oklahoma State with a 3-pointer. Kevin Obanor continued his team-high in points with a dunk before Moussa Cisse answered with a lay-in on the other end. Marcus Santos-Silva had a chance at a three-point play with a bucket and a foul, but missed the free throw. 

Texas Tech 58, Oklahoma State 43 (11:24) — Texas Tech extended its lead with an 8-2 run as the Cowboys went more than three minutes without a made field goal. Oklahoma State called a timeout down 54-36 with 14:02 to go. Rondel Walker hit a 3-pointer for only hits third made field goal since the start of Big 12 play earlier this month. 

Texas Tech 71, Oklahoma State 52 (3:40) — Matthew-Alexander Moncrieffe scored six points in a stretch of four minutes to keep Oklahoma State without striking distance. Bryson Warren had a wide-open 3-point jumper that gave Texas Tech its largest lead of the game, 67-48, with just over five minutes to go. Marcus Santos-Silva got a double-double with a jumper.

Texas Tech 78, Oklahoma State 57 (0:00) — Kalib Boone checked into the game for the first time with less than three minutes to go and made one of two free throws after a technical foul. Bryce Thompson hit a jumper, but the Red Raiders responded with a layup from KJ Allen.
