When it comes to PS5 restocks, 2022 is not off to the most auspicious start.
Sony’s next-gen console is currently sold out across the nation (despite being over a year old now) and there has yet to be a single drop in the new year.
Before you get too disheartened by this news, it is worth pointing out that at least one merchant could be replenishing its inventory over the coming days.
Speaking of which, here is the latest PS5 restock information for every major U.S. retailer.
Target PS5 Restock
Reputable console tracker Jake Randall (who has accurately reported on a number of drops in the past) has indicated that Target will be restocking on PlayStations sometime this week.
According to the YouTuber, the supply levels will vary on a store-by-store basis. Some locations will have upwards of 150 consoles, while others will only have about 20 of them.
Randall has not given a precise date or time for this online restock, but has narrowed it down to a morning this week. Specifically, he has said that it will take place between 6 a.m. ET and 9 a.m. ET.

Amazon PS5 Restock
Amazon managed to squeeze one last restock into 2021 before the New Year.
This drop took place on December 30 and was for the PS5 disc edition. As always, the sale was fiercely competitive, with even some of the most prepared shoppers finding that they had missed the boat and were unable to make a purchase.
Given that Amazon typically restocks on a monthly basis, you probably shouldn’t get your hopes up for another one of these drops until the end of January at the earliest.
That being said, there are occasional deviations from the pattern, so it always helps to keep checking up on restock updates like this one just in case.

Walmart PS5 Restock
As a rule of thumb, Walmart tends to restock every other Thursday at 3 p.m. ET.
That once-reliable schedule has been disrupted somewhat over the past couple of months (owing to events like Black Friday, Cyber Monday, and New Year’s Eve), but you should still keep it in mind. With that said, we recommend that you monitor Walmart’s website closer to the afternoon of January 6
In the meantime, you can browse the online marketplace to see if there are any second-hand units for sale. However, if you happen to find anything here, it is important that you make sure you are not being ripped off, as opportunistic resellers will trade PS5s for an inflated cost.

Best Buy PS5 Restock
After coordinating a pair of restocks (on two consecutive days) last week, it seems that Best Buy’s PS5 inventory is now thoroughly exhausted.
There has not been a drop since Tuesday, December 28 and there is currently no word on when the next one will occur. To be alerted as soon as the situation improves, we recommend that you follow dedicated console trackers like @GYXdeals and @Wario64 on Twitter and turn on notifications.

Newegg PS5 Restock
If you were hoping that next-gen consoles would be featured in the Tuesday Newegg Shuffle again (after a surprise appearance last week), then you will unfortunately have to temper your expectations.
Today’s (January 4) lottery draw is solely comprised of PC gaming components instead, with various motherboard and video cards up for grabs.

GameStop was selling the digital edition PS5 on Tuesday, December 28, but that version of the console (as well as the more expensive disc model) is now sold out.
The usual tracker accounts have yet to indicate when the merchant’s next drop will occur.

As per our last update, there are no PS5 units up for grabs at Sam’s Club right now. If you try searching for the console on the website, all you will find is an assortment of compatible accessories and peripherals.
Once again, you do have an opportunity to buy the Xbox Series S from Sam’s Club instead. The all-digital console is available in a $399.98 bundle that ships with an extra controller, a spare headset and codes that can be redeemed for currency in both Rocket League and Fortnite.

At the time of writing, you are unable to add a PS5 to your Costco basket.
The outlet does not restock very often but, on the off chance that there is an unexpected drop, the likes of @GYXdeals and @Wario64 will update their Twitter followers.
