
Trunk or treat added to Downtown PC events
PORT CLINTON — Decorate your vehicle with a favorite kid-friendly Halloween theme or character for Trunk or Treat and join the Downtown Businesses for Main Street Port Clinton’s annual Trick or Treat 1-4 p.m. Oct. 30.
Over 350 children participated in 2019 and organizers are hoping for even more children and their families this year. For more information about Trunk or Treat or to reserve a space call 419-734-5503. Arrive by noon to start decorating.
Fall farm to market set for Creek Bend Farm
LINDSEY — The Sandusky County Park District will host Farm to Market 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Oct. 9 at Creek Bend Farm, 720 S. Main St.
During the self-guided activity visitors will discover more about the types of farming and agriculture. Collect eggs, corn, wool and honey. Visit the pumpkin patch and pick a pumpkin.
Once visitors complete all their chores they will go to the market to sell their goods. Learn more about the animals that help produce these goods and what items they are found in at the market.
To assist with social distancing the park district will offer multiple time-slots for registration. Program should take about 45 minutes. Only register for one time slot at lovemyparks.com or call 419-334-4495.
Crop Circle set for weekend
Downtown Fremont Inc. will host Bellevue Hospital’s Crop Circle Art and Music Event from 6-9 p.m. Friday.
The Croghan Colonial Bank Farmers Market and Pottery Perfection Done Your Way Crop Circle Event will be 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturday.
Style Crest is the sponsor of the Art Show and Auction at the Live Edge Center both days. All events will be on Front Street and City Lot A. Attendance will be free to the public.
Advisory council to hold career showcase
PORT CLINTON — The Ottawa County Business Advisory Council will hold its Annual Ottawa County Career Showcase from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday Oct. 1 at the Gary Anderson CMP Competition Center. This is the seventh year for the event for Ottawa County students.
Businesses participating at the event include U.S. Gypsum, Magruder Hospital, Davis Besse, Ohler & Holzhauer, Northern Manufacturing, Materion and more.
Sandusky K of C to host 5K Race
SANDUSKY – The Sandusky Knights of Columbus will host its 5K Race/Walk on Oct. 23. Pre-registration starts at 8 a.m. with the race at 9 a.m. starting at the Sandusky Sailing Club at Battery Park. The race is in memory of the founder Dr. David Darr with all proceeds being equally divided between Heartbeat of Sandusky and Abigail Stork Bus Project servicing North Central Ohio.
Preregistration of $25 by Sept. 25 will guarantee a T-shirt and medal.
