Ugly Christmas Sweater Run is Saturday
GIBSONBURG — The Gibsonburg Ugly Christmas Sweater Run will be 9 a.m. Saturday . The 5K run and walk will start and finish at Gibsonburg Town Hall on North Webster Street.
As in years past, entry fee for this event will be a new and unwrapped toy or nonperishable food items. Toys are distributed to young people from the community by the Gibsonburg Ministerial Association and Gibsonburg School District and food items are placed on the shelves of the Gibsonburg Food Pantry. Special awards will be presented to the Adult Male and Female and Youth Boy and Girl with the “Ugliest” Christmas Sweaters. In addition, Ideal Bakery Donuts will be served at Town Hall after the event.

Community Health Services adds COVID-19 booster clinic
On Wednesday, Community Health Services will hold an additional COVID-19 vaccine booster clinic at their main office, 2221 Hayes Ave. in Fremont, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.
To be eligible for the booster, participants must:
• Have received their first two COVID-19 vaccine doses
• Received their second dose on or before June 15
• Be 18 years old or older
• Register and schedule an appointment through this website: gettheshot.coronavirus.ohio.gov.
An appointment is required to participate in this booster clinic. All appointments must be scheduled through GetTheShot.Coronavirus.Ohio.gov. Community Health Services cannot schedule the booster appointments in person or over the phone. The booster vaccine offered is Moderna. There is no charge for the vaccine.
Park district board to meet
The Sandusky County Park District Board will hold a regular meeting at 9 a.m. Wednesday at River Cliff Park Lodge, Fremont.
The board will review monthly reports and expenses. They will receive an update on the HVAC at River Cliff Lodge and the bridge project at Creek Bend Farm.
