Xiaomi 12 Ultra Expected To Debut With Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 Plus

The Chinese tech giant launched the Xiaomi 12 series smartphone in the home country; however, there is no official news about the global launch of this lineup. If not February, the Xiaomi 12 series smartphone could come in the first week of March this year globally. The lineup for the global market is expected to include Xiaomi 12, Xiaomi 12 Pro and the Xiaomi 12 Ultra. The affordable version named Xiaomi 12X could also launch alongside these three giants.

Just to recall, the company had launched the Xiaomi 12 series on the home country last year year in December and a popular leakster, Digital Chart Station has suggested that the Xiaomi 12 Ultra will carry a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 Plus chipset under the hood and this device was also spotted with an unknown Qualcomm SM8475 Chipset. The rumoured Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 Plus chipset is said to use TSMC’s 4 nm process mode and it is tipped to be manufactured in TSMC’s facilities.

On the Chinese microblogging platform named Weibo, the Digital Chat Station has shared some details about the battery that is going to be used in the upcoming Xiaomi 12 Ultra. The post suggested that the Xiaomi 12 Ultra will carry a 4,860 mAh battery under the hood with 120 W wired fast charging and 50 W wireless fast charging support.

On the display front, the Xiaomi 12 Ultra is expected to sport a 6.28 inch Full HD+ AMOLED display with a screen resolution of 1,080 x 2,400 pixels, a screen refresh rate of 120 Hz and Gorilla Glass Victus protection. This giant smartphone will be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset, coupled with 12 GB LPDDR5 RAM.

For optics, this handset is believed to feature a 50 megapixel primary camera sensor at the back along with a 13 megapixel ultra-wide lens and a 5 megapixel macro lens. The company will be providing a 32 megapixel camera sensor on the front for selfies and video calls.
