A Big Adventure May Be Coming to PC

A SteamDB listing for what is thought to be Sackboy: A Big Adventure has been spotted, which may have given away a surprise announcement from Sony and Sumo Digital.

The SteamDB listing points to the game being identified as “Marmalade Content” along with the branch name being “sumoqa” which was the same name correlating to Sackboy: A Big Adventure in the recent Nvidia Geforce Now leak. The leak has since proved to be quite accurate, with Sony revealing God of War’s arrival on PC shortly after, which was one of the games listed in the database leak. However, it needs to be stated that not all games in the Geforce Now leak will actually make their way to PC.

Sony has been slowly but steadily announcing PC ports of many games from its family of first party and partner PS4 exclusive library, which started with Horizon Zero Dawn and Days Gone. The company’s upcoming PC ports include Uncharted 4, Uncharted: The Lost Legacy and of course, God of War. Both Jim Ryan, Head of Sony Interactive Entertainment and Hermen Hulst, Head of PlayStation Studios have expressed their enthusiasm about bringing more PlayStation exclusives to PC, although all of the announced ports (until now) are from the PS4 era. Sure, the Uncharted collection is also being remastered for PS5, but Sackboy will be the first exclusive PS5 game (if only by virtue of being cross-gen) to make its way to PC.

Sony is set to broadcast a new State of Play this week, and it’s possible that we’ll get an official announcement of Sackboy for PC there. It won’t be the only surprise that has “leaked” ahead of the broadcast, as announcements from multiple other big games like Final Fantasy 16 have seemingly also been hinted at thanks to PlayStation store updates.

Sackboy: A Big Adventure is out now on PS5 and PS4 for Rs. 3,999.
