After being available through the console version of the service, Dragon Ball FighterZ will soon be making its way to Xbox Game Pass on PC.
The action-packed anime fighting game Dragon Ball FighterZ will be making its way to Xbox Game Pass on PC in just a few days. This entry in the long-running Dragon Ball family of games has landed generally favorable reviews from both critics and consumers, and has kept its player base invested thanks to the addition of numerous DLC characters, including last year’s Super Saiyan 4 Gogeta.
Xbox Game Pass has been a major part of Microsoft’s gaming strategy over the past few years– becoming even more significant through its PC output. Through this subscription service, players have enjoyed low-cost access to a number of different AAA and indie titles, including several best-selling fighting games. This list includes the superhero-packed Injustice 2, Mortal Kombat 11, and Soulcalibur VI, making the service a solid choice for fighting game fans who don’t know which game to sink their teeth into. Game Pass subscribers have already been able to play Dragon Ball FighterZ on console, and the game was even enhanced last year with the Dragon Ball FighterZ Xbox Series X|S upgrade, but the title has remained absent on the PC version of the service until now.
According to a post in the official Xbox newsletter, PC gamers will now get the chance to play this beloved title through Game Pass. The post, which was written by Bandai Namco’s John Liao, details the game’s most central features, such as its 3v3 tag-team style of combat, complex combo system, and unique pre-fight dialog. Liao also touches on the game’s vast roster of iconic playable characters, including Gohan, Goku, Frieza, Trunks, and more. PC Game Pass users will be able to access Dragon Ball FighterZ through the service on February 24.
This will likely please any Dragon Ball fan who has missed out on playing this entry for one reason or another. Even if a particular fan is new to the fighting scene, Dragon Ball FighterZ offers a welcoming competitive fighting experience when compared to its peers. For this reason and many more, PC gamers with Game Pass should definitely give this title a fair shake.
Regardless of how popular Dragon Ball FighterZ ends up being on PC, this story is a clear example of how Xbox is integrating its gaming ecosystem with PC content. Rather than fighting the content war solely on console, the company is broadening its horizons by making a diverse selection of games playable on multiple platforms. If Microsoft can continue to add popular games like Dragon Ball FighterZ to Xbox Game Pass on PC, it will definitely keep winning gamers over.
