Pre-orders for physical copies of Forza Horizon 5 are now live in India on Games The Shop, although there are no bonuses available for doing so before the game’s release. On top of that, the game’s physical price in India is more expensive than buying it on Steam or even Microsoft’s own digital store.
Forza Horizon 5 India Price and Edition
Here are what all editions of the game costs in India as seen on Steam:
- Forza Horizon 5 Standard Edition – Rs. 3,499 (Rs. 3,999 on Windows Store)
- Forza Horizon 5 Deluxe Edition – Rs. 4,499 (Rs. (Rs. 5,399 on Windows Store)
- Forza Horizon 5 Premium Edition – Rs. 5,499 (Rs. 6,599 on Windows Store)
The physical price for the game as seen on Games The Shop is Rs. 4,299 which brings it closer to its digital deluxe edition. The physical copy of the game includes access to both the Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S versions of the game thanks to Smart Delivery.
This shouldn’t be a surprise considering how Microsoft has increased the prices for its upcoming games with a clear disregard for regional pricing, which may be in a bid to drive more subscriptions to Xbox Game Pass. Additionally, Microsoft is also giving away 7 months of Xbox Game Pass subscriptions to existing members, making it so that the level of accessibility to its upcoming first party games remains as low as possible.
Forza Horizon 5 releases on November 9 for PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S and Xbox Game Pass for both consoles and PC. The game is available to pre-load now on PC and Xbox consoles via the Xbox store regardless of whether you’re subscribed to Xbox Game Pass or not. For PC players, check out the PC system requirements for Forza Horizon 5, which are a a little higher than that of Forza Horizon 4, which released in 2018. Along with the new game, Microsoft will also be making the Forza Horizon 5 Limited Edition Xbox controller available in India which, unlike the game, is priced fairly well.
