GTA Trilogy Definitive Edition PC Requirements Have Apparently Leaked

A leaker has revealed Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – Definitive Edition’s system requirements for PC along with some important next-gen details.

A notable leaker has unearthed more information about the upcoming Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – Definitive Edition, revealing its system requirements for PC and some next-gen details. Information on the long-rumored GTA trilogy remaster has remained scant since its original announcement in early October and Rockstar Games hasn’t revealed any screenshots or gameplay footage. Leaks however continue to be shared online, hyping up and perturbing some fans who are speculating that the next-gen remaster will bring about major overhauls.

Following a year of speculation and continuous rumors, Rockstar Games and publisher Take-Two Interactive officially announced Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition earlier this month in celebration of Grand Theft Auto 3‘s 20th anniversary. The collection will include touch-ups of the PS2 era classics – Grand Theft Auto 3, Grand Theft Auto: Vice City, and Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas – with various upgrades such as graphical improvements and modern gameplay enhancements. While little is known about its release date other than it coming out later this year, the remastered GTA trilogy is set to launch on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch, as well as coming to PC as a Rockstar Launcher exclusive.

Posted on the Grand Theft Auto forums, user and notable leaker alloc8or has leaked the minimum and recommended PC requirements of the GTA trilogy remaster along with some important next-gen details. Taking up 45 GBs, the minimum requirements for Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition on PC requires at least an Intel Core i5-2700k or AMD FX-6300 CPU with an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 760 2GB GPU or equivalent. This is pointed out to be higher than Grand Theft Auto 5‘s system requirements, which could indicate major improvements. Additionally, the leaker has revealed that the collection will be receiving high-resolution textures, increased draw distances, new lighting, and modern controls similar to Grand Theft Auto 5.

The description also goes on to reveal a discount for players who buy the GTA trilogy remaster via Rockstar’s Launcher. Those who purchase the title from the exclusive launcher by January 5th, 2022 will receive a $10 discount on their next purchase through the Rockstar Games Launcher or Rockstar Web Stores on qualifying products of $15 or more. While this is a significant benefit for returning users, it could possibly hint that the collection is making its way to Steam, after the developer delisted all of the classic GTA titles on the digital storefront.

Although the details haven’t been confirmed, alloc8or has a reputation for leaking accurate information, and Rockstar’s future listing may not be different. PC players can begin prepping their systems for the GTA trilogy remaster set to release later this, as more news is predicted to be announced this week as GTA 3‘s 20th anniversary draws closer.
