Intel Drops A New Teaser for Arc PC Graphics Cards, Demoing Their Capabilities

As Intel prepares to launch the company’s Arc PC graphics cards, the company has released a new teaser video that demonstrates their gaming capabilities.

Intel dropped the 30-second teaser during last night’s The Game Awards event. The video shows the Arc GPU’s running several games, including Sony’s upcoming PC release of God of War. (The God of War footage was shown during the awards event’s live stream, not in the re-released clip below.)

The teaser also shows Intel’s graphics technology running Back 4 Blood, a game that was released only two months ago and features high-quality visuals.

In addition, the video demonstrates the Arc GPU’s using “AI-enhanced upscaling” to boost the video resolution of the strategy title Rift Breaker. The clip then shows off the enhanced lighting and shadow effects from the GPU’s ray-tracing technology on the game Hitman 3.

In other words, Intel’s Arc GPUs promise to offer the same gaming capabilities you can find in rival graphics cards from AMD and Nvidia. The teaser then ends by briefly showing a desktop PC supposedly carrying an Arc graphics card inside. Unfortunately, the desktop’s interior is completely dark, denying viewers a glimpse at what the GPUs will actually look like.

The video then reiterates the Arc GPUs will start arriving during next year’s first quarter. That’s good news since consumers are still facing the worst GPU shortage in history. However, rumors have been circulating online that Intel will first release the laptop Arc GPUs before bringing the desktop graphics cards in Q2.

We’ll have to wait and see. Expect Intel to tease more details or even announce the first Arc GPU model, Alchemist, during next month’s CES event. Stay tuned for our coverage.
