Latinitas virtual conference Saturday
Latinitas announced that a Startup Chica Nacional virtual conference will run from 10:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Saturday.
Latinitas invites all girls and nonbinary students ages 9-14 to attend. Participants will spend the day learning the business skills needed to launch their own startup or product that identifies and solves community issues.
Working alongside community mentors, they will come up with a creative solution to a problem, pitch the product to judges and exit with a passion for entrepreneurship.
Participants will interact with professionals in media and technology fields who will guide participants through the process of developing a business idea.

EMS offers first aid classes
Williamson County Emergency Medical Services will offer public outreach classes in October.
Classes will include HeartSaver First Aid from 8:30 a.m. to noon Saturday, BLS Provider from 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Saturday, HeartSaver CPR/AED from 1 to 5:30 p.m. Saturday and Stop the Bleed from noon to 4 p.m. Oct. 26.

Reuse fashion show rescheduled
Austin Creative Reuse has rescheduled its first reuse fashion show, “Reuse on the Runway: A Night of Fashion, Costume and Drag,” to 6:30 to 9 p.m. Nov. 12 outdoors at its center, 2005 Wheless Lane.
This event has been rescheduled from its original date of Oct. 22. The event will be an an inclusive, judgment-free environment for local creators to show off their work in six categories: fashion, cosplay, Halloween costumes, historical costumes, fantasy or other genre costumes and drag.
More than 25 designers will show more than 60 looks, all of which incorporate some element of reuse.
The event is free with tickets required. VIP seating options are available for $25-$100 with donations accepted. Individual and business sponsorships, including hair and makeup sponsorships, are also still available.
