Marvel’s Avengers Leak Hints Yelena, Iron Heart Or Shuri Coming Soon

A Marvel’s Avengers leak has hinted that Yelena, Iron Heart, or Shuri could be coming to the game before She-Hulk reportedly arrives later this year.

A known leaker has hinted that Marvel’s Avengers could see Yelena, Iron Heart, or Shuri, among other candidates, before She-Hulk’s presumed arrival later this year. Marvel’s Avengers had a rough launch in 2020, and some would say an even rougher first year. Marvel’s Avengers’ pre-launch was riddled with controversy, from unpopular character designs to the game’s detested pre-order policy. After launch, more issues arose, with players complaining that the live-service content was underwhelming and lacked the necessary components for longevity. It was reported that Marvel’s Avengers lost 96% of players on PC within two months of release, and Crystal Dynamics has struggled to turn a profit despite impressive DLC characters like Spider-Man joining the fight.

So far, Marvel’s Avengers’ superhero roster has grown considerably, having added Spider-Man, Hawkeye, and Black Panther. Earlier this week, a leaker claimed that She-Hulk would be Marvel’s Avengers’ next DLC character, voiced by actor Krizia Bajos. The leak remains unconfirmed, however, Krizia Bajos did reshare the leaker’s tweet, having added a green heart emoji before quickly deleting the post. Her response has seemingly confirmed her involvement with the game and the imminent release of Jennifer Walters, a.k.a She-Hulk. Adding to the leak’s credibility, Miller, who leaked the potential Marvel’s Avengers She-Hulk DLC, previously revealed that Christopher Judge would voice Black Panther before it was officially announced.

As reported by TheGamer, Miller has allegedly teased that Marvel’s Avengers could get Yelena, Iron Heart, or Shuri before She-Hulk, as evidenced in a video from YouTuber Sadot The Gamer. According to the content creator, Miller divulged clues to them which hint at the future of the game’s roster. The YouTuber believes that the next DLC character will be an echo, which means they will arrive without a unique move list but rather reskin an already existing character. Clues also point towards the next character being a female hero that is not a part of Spider-Man’s side of Marvel. This leaves a fairly small list of potential candidates, such as Shuri as a reskin for Black Panther, Iron Heart as a reskin for Iron Man, or Yelena as a reskin for Black Widow.

While Miller has been right before, there is no concrete evidence that Yelena, Iron Heart, or Shuri will arrive in Marvel’s Avengers. As of now, there still isn’t confirmation that She-Hulk will be added to the roster of future Marvel’s Avengers heroes. There are, however, several factors that grant credibility to the leak beyond Miller. Considering Marvel’s Avengers’ current roster, it has been pointed out that more female heroes are needed. Using characters like Yelena or Shuri – who have recently joined the ranks of popular MCU characters – would be a strategic way to develop the game’s female representation.

There is a long list of Marvel heroes who could join Marvel’s Avengers. With the MCU Phase Four in full swing and hundreds of comic book storylines to pull from, there is no shortage of DLC characters. To keep its game growing, Crystal Dynamics will need to impress fans with a greater variety of super-powered individuals, as it did with the release of Marvel’s Avengers’ Spider-Man DLC.
