Nokia is the popular smartphone brand which is known for offering a wide range of smartphones in all segments and today the company has announced that Nokia is no more in the flagship phone business. Adam Ferguson, HMD Global Head of Product Marketing has confirmed the news in a media interaction. According to Ferguson, there is no point in making the flagship phones worth USD 800, therefore it means that there will not be any successor to the Nokia 9 PureView.

Furthermore, the company executive also mentioned that HMD Global is now planning to focus on the mid-range segment. According to a report from Android Authority, Adam told that the company is not looking to run behind the flagship crowd. The company seems not to be interested in being involved in massive specifications war and rather focuses on low-end phones.
For the last few years, Nokia is skipping the flagship smartphone series and the last one was the Nokia 9 PureView which was launched back in 2019. So far the most expensive phone from the brand was the Nokia XR20 available for sale at a price point of Rs 46,999 in the Indian Market.

It seems focusing on budget and mid-range segment smartphones will help the company to maintain the profitability of the quarter. According to the report, the brand is focusing more on developing good quality feature phones, and entry-level smartphones which are more durable than the standard phones. Feature phones which are capable of offering long battery life and rugged design.
