Redmi Note 11 Series Launched In India Under Rs 20,000 Mark: Great Competition For Mid-Range Segment

Redmi the brand which is known for offering a wide range of smartphones, smart wearables, and more has expanded its portfolio today in India with the launch of the Redmi Note 11 series. The newly launched smartphone series consist of – Redmi Note 11 and Redmi Note 11S, both the handsets come with some attractive features like a 108-megapixel rear camera, 90Hz refresh rate AMOLED display, Qualcomm Snapdragon, and MediaTek chipset respectively, and more. The Redmi Note 11 series falls under the mid-range segment and could be a great competition for Realme 9i, Motorola Moto G51, Realme Narzo 30 Pro, and more. Let’s have a closer look at the price, specifications, and features of both handsets.

Redmi Note 11 and Redmi Note 11S Price in India

The freshly launched Redmi Note 11 will be available for sale at Rs 13,499 for the 4GB RAM and 64GB storage variant. While the 6GB RAM + 64GB storage model will be available for grabs at Rs 14,499 and the 128GB storage model will be up for sale at Rs 15,999. The handset is launched in Horizon Blue, Space Black, and Starburst White colour shades, do note the 64GB storage models are available for sale at an introductory price and it might change in the upcoming month.

On the other hand, the elder sibling Redmi Note 11S is launched with a price tag of Rs 16,499 for the 6GB RAM + 64GB ROM. While the 6GB + 128GB variant will be up for grabs at Rs 17,499, and the top-notch model with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage will be available for Rs 18,499. All three models will be available in Horizon Blue, Polar White, and Space Black colour options.

The Redmi Note 11 and Redmi Note 11S are confirmed to hit the shelves on February 11th and February 21st. Both the handsets will be available for purchase via the official website, Amazon India, Mi Studios, and authorized retail outlets.

Redmi Note 11 Specifications

The Redmi Note 11 comes equipped with an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 chipset, clubbed with up to 6GB DDR4X RAM and 128GB onboard storage. However, you also get an option of expanding the storage up to 1TB thanks to the microSD card slot.

On the display front, the vanilla variant comes with a massive 6.43-inch AMOLED Full-HD+ Dot display with a refresh rate of 90Hz and an aspect ratio of 20:9. It also houses a centered-drilled punch-hole camera cutout that accommodates a 13-megapixel camera sensor for taking selfies and video calls. As far as rear cameras are concerned, the rectangular-shaped camera module placed at the top left corner houses quad sensors. The rear camera module includes a 50-megapixel primary sensor, paired with an 8-megapixel ultra-wide lens, 2-megapixel macro camera, and a 2-megapixel depth sensor along with an LED flash.

The Redmi Note 11 is fuelled by a gigantic 5,000mAh battery along with a 33W Pro fast charging and the handset runs on Android 11 on top of MIUI 13.

Redmi Note 11S Features

The Redmi Note 11S also flaunts a 6.43-inch full HD+ AMOLED display with a resolution of 1080×2400 pixels. The on-paper specifications also suggest that the device boasts a 90Hz refresh rate display along with a punch-hole camera to make some room for the selfie shooter. The Redmi Note 11S is powered by the MediaTek Helio G96 chipset, paired with up to 8GB RAM and 128GB storage. The smartphone houses a side-mounter fingerprint scanner for security.

On the optics front, the Redmi Note 11S houses a quad-rear camera setup at the back similar to the Redmi Note 11. The design of the camera module might look the same but the Note 11S houses a 108-megapixel primary Samsung HM2 sensor, accompanied by an ultra-wide-angle 8-megapixel lens, and dual 2-megapixel lens for macro and depth sensing. At the front, the Note 11S features a 16-megapixel camera sensor for selfies.

The Redmi Note 11S also runs on Android 11-based MIUI 13 and draws power from a massive 5,000mAh battery with 33W Pro fast charging. However, all these are just on-paper specifications and it would be interesting to see whether the claims are real or not once we received the devices for review.
