Samsung’s Frame TV is on sale at Amazon

Most people like a big TV in their living room, but they often look like a black box when turned off. That’s no longer the case with Samsung’s Frame TV, which will turn it into a beautiful work of art even when it’s not on. If you’ve been eyeing this for a while, we have good news: The entire line of Frame TVs is currently on sale at all-time lows on Amazon!

$998 $1,500 at Amazon

The biggest discount by far is for the 55-inch model, which is currently 33 percent off the retail price, making it just $998 (originally $1,500). The 50-inch model is 30 percent off, making it $898 (originally $1,300); the 75-inch model is 27 percent off, making it $2,198 (originally $3,000); the 65-inch model is 25 percent off, making it $1,498 (originally $2,000) and last but not least, the 43-inch model is 20 percent off, making it $798 (originally $1,000).

The Frame TV’s claim to fame is its Art Mode: The TV has built-in motion sensors that will automatically display your favorite artwork whenever you walk into the room. You can buy individual selections from a Samsung art store or subscribe to a library with over 1,400 pieces from both established and upcoming artists.

It’s also just a gorgeous television overall, with a billion “stay-true” shades of color that will breathe life into digital art and make all of your favorite TV shows and movies pop. All models have 4K quality for ultra crisp images. Amazon’s Alexa assistant is built-in as well, so you can use your voice to turn on the TV, change channels, search for movies and shows, play music, and more.

On top of that, the frame is customizable with different frame styles and color options. Bezels are also customizable, but are sold separately.

Amazon shoppers love the TV too. One reviewer said it’s very attractive, and he appreciates the digital art gallery: “I paid for the year of art, which is fun for my family and amounts to a pandemic-era art education, and I generally thought the built-in sound was decent for what it is. The picture is sharp.”

Another loves it over their fireplace: “This TV looks awesome and stands out above the fireplace perfectly. I had my doubts as to whether it was worth the cost, but it truly does look like a piece of art. This model is thinner than typical TVs and mounts closer to the wall. We installed the 50-inch version of the TV. The One-Box is completely hidden inside of the cabinets and the one connect cable was run through the wall.”

This art lover is in love with his Frame TV: “Samsung Frame does exactly as it’s intended!” he wrote. “I have been busy finding high-res art from the Met Museum. Google Arts and Culture etc for free!” He then set the artwork to shuffle, and it rotates every few minutes. “I hate having a huge black rectangle on my wall [but this is] worth the premium if you want a nice look and feel to the room.”

“I love how it fools our visitors into thinking it’s a picture frame and not a TV,” said another art aficionado. “It is definitely worth it and it has its own Samsung TV channels for free, it gives you options to choose the streaming channels etc. I am not a TV expert but if you like some art pictures in your living room vs a black box, this is it.”
