The PC version of Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice has added ray tracing in a new update, making the graphics look more beautiful than ever before.
The PC version of Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice has received an update that includes a ray tracing option, which drastically improves the quality of the lighting and reflections when used. The new graphical update for Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice on PC is the same as the one that was added to the Xbox Series X/S version of the game in August.
According to Steam, the update for Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice on PC adds support for both DirectX 11 and 12, as well as support for NVIDIA DLSS and AMD FSR upscaling. The game now has a ray tracing option, with three presets that players can use, to match the strength of their hardware. The addition of ray tracing greatly increases the accuracy of reflections within the water, which is something seen throughout Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice, making the game look better than ever before. The lighting and shadows are also improved by ray tracing, as it simulates how it would look in a real-life environment to a far greater degree than the visuals in older games.
Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice also received some new accessibility features, with the most notable being remapping options for controller and keyboard. There are also options to adjust the lighting and coloring for people with visual impairments, including presets for color blindness, Deuteranopia, Protanopia, and Tritanopia. Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice is already a striking game to behold, and the ray tracing update makes Helheim ever more beautiful and terrifying than it was before. These updates also paint a picture of what the upcoming Senua’s Saga: Hellblade 2 will look like, especially when it launches on Xbox Series X/S.
