Stardew Valley has surpassed 15 million units sold across all platforms

Stardew Valley has managed to surpass 15 million units sold worldwide. This news was revealed shortly after Saturday’s Stardew Valley Cup, where Eric Barone teased his next game and answered various questions from the community. The official Stardew Valley website now mentions the update in global sales: “Since release, the game has sold over 15 million copies worldwide.” Stardew Valley launched in February 2016 on PC, and was later ported to Nintendo Switch in the following year.

Barone has continued to release updates over the years, adding a variety of new content to the game. The most recent update, version 1.5, was released at the end of last year. Compared to other updates, this was considered the largest content drop to date, adding an entire new region, new farm features, and much more. However, Barone is unsure whether or not another Stardew Valley update will be released, as we previously reported upon, because he’s focused on his next game.

Stardew Valley is a fantastic game and deserves the 15 million sales milestone. If you’ve never played it, the game is available on the Nintendo eShop and a physical release is exclusive to certain retailers. Have you played Stardew Valley, and if so, did you get addicted to it?
