Ford’s rich racing history was recently immortalized on the Hollywood big screen in the movie Ford v Ferrari starring Matt Damon as Carroll Shelby and Christian Bale as driver Ken Miles. One 2019 Cobra 427 made an appearance in the film and is now available for one lucky person to take home. The Superformance Cobra also comes with a letter that confirms its authenticity from the movie. Finished in a stunning deep Indigo Blue, this ’19 Cobra 427 is topped with contrasting Wimbledon White LeMans stripes and chrome trim that surrounds the headlights, quick jacks, turn signals, roll bar, and brass windscreen frame. A set of original-style Halibrand wheels with knock-off 3-ear spinners are shod with BF Goodrich radial rubber.
As mean as it is beautiful, this Cobra is powered by a Roush 427-cubic-inch SR V8 engine topped with a 770 CFM carburetor and features Roush aluminum heads, a dual-plane intake manifold, a hydraulic roller camshaft, and a “Road Race” front sump oil pan. Donated by Cobra restorer David Wagner of Classic Motorsports is a Tremec TKO-600 transmission shifts power down to the rear wheels. Other modifications include a 17-gallon stainless steel tank, high-performance aluminum radiator with dual electric fans, aluminum limited-slip differential, and Wilwood power disc 4-piston brakes. This slick roadster generates 510-horsepower. Along the side sit silver ceramic-coated pipes that provide additional rumble to the beefy V8. Inside the cockpit features period-correct Smiths gauges and a Lucas Amp gauge. Even better, the car comes with a 2-year/24,000-mile limited warranty.
Finished by the Cobra Performance Inc. team along with owner Drew Serb, this incredible Cobra was built with meticulous attention to detail and is a high-quality replica that shows excellent craftsmanship. To make the deal even sweeter is the fact that it was shown in the actual movie Ford v Ferrari.
