van Ginhoven makes 1st team, 5 other area players on All-M-PC | News, Sports, Jobs

ESCANABA — Gladstone senior Claire van Ginhoven earned a spot on the girls basketball All Mid-Peninsula Conference First Team Thursday.

She was followed by teammates senior Chloe Hanson on second team, senior Veronica Hall as an honorable mention and senior Jamisyn Bergeron on the all-defensive team.

Manistique landed senior Olivia Kingren as an honorable mention, and sophomore Danielle Lund made all-defensive.

The Player of the Year was Negaunee senior Alyssa HIll.

Rounding out first team was Westwood senior Natalie Prophet, Negaunee sophomore Ella Mason, Ishpeming sophomore Jenna Maki and Gwinn junior Lena Pleaugh.

On second team were Westwood sophomore Megan Marta, Negaunee senior Lillian Nelson, Iron Mountain senior Annslee Runsat nad junior Chloe Maycroft, and Ishpeming senior Bailey Zellar.

The all-defensive team consisted of Ishpeming senior Hannah Deloughary, Westwood senior Jillian Koski and Negaunee senior Emily Gauthier.
