Forza Horizon 5 developer Playground Games has revealed the ideal PC specifications to get the best graphical experience for the upcoming game.
Forza Horizon 5 developer Playground Games has announced the system requirements for the new title on PC, including the ideal specifications to make it look its best. With only a little over a month left until the latest title in the long-running racing game franchise is released on PC and Xbox consoles, the developer has begun announcing more information on the upcoming game, including the initial list of cars in Forza Horizon 5.
Forza Horizon 5 is introducing a range of new features to the series, including a brand-new and powerful weather system that covers the game’s eleven different biomes, meaning multiple climates and weather conditions could potentially be experienced across the game’s map, as well as new multiplayer modes in the new Horizon Arcade. The new title will also feature the biggest map in the series so far. Based on Mexico, the full map of Forza Horizon 5 will feature multiple location types including mountain areas, dunes, forest and jungle regions, and more.
Playground Games published Forza Horizon 5’s PC system requirements in a new blog post on the game’s official website. The studio has listed three categories for the game’s system requirements, which include the minimum hardware to run the game, a list of recommended components, and the ideal specifications for the best experience. Each category is also divided between AMD and NVIDIA setups for those who prefer either hardware manufacturer. Notably, the NVIDIA column lists Intel processors, even though graphics cards from the former will work with AMD processors as well, and the latter aren’t incompatible with graphics cards from AMD.
According to the blog post, the minimum system requirements for Forza Horizon 5 have been adjusted from the ones previously listed on the Microsoft Store and Steam. As for those who want to get the best visual experience with the game, they’ll need to run some high-end components, including either an AMD Ryzen 7 3800XT or an Intel i7-10700K partnered with an AMD Radeon RX 6800 XT or an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080. They’ll also need at least 16GB of RAM and at least a 110GB SSD.
Playground Games also explains that Forza Horizon 5 is being developed from the ground up on PC to enable the game to run its best on the platform. This includes several features, such as multiple tweakable graphics settings, an unlockable framerate, up to 4K resolution, and HDR support. The game will also support 21:9 ultrawide displays on PC as well as a range of steering wheels from Logitech, Thrustmaster, and Fanatec. Additionally, Forza Horizon 5 will also feature raytracing in its Forzavista mode that will not only feature raytraced reflections but also raytraced audio.
Fans who are planning to play Forza Horizon 5 on PC look to have a lot to look forward to when it comes to the game’s features on the platform. And those who have been fortunate enough to be able to purchase a PC that fits the game’s ideal specifications are likely in for a very impressive technological experience.
