Windows 11 update is just around the corner and in a shocking revelation, not many people know. Windows 11 release date is October 5. It is bringing the biggest upgrade to Microsoft Windows since 2015! The world’s most widely used desktop operating system is set to get a slew of improvements and new features, that are expected to boost the experience of users to another level altogether. Amazing new features include the ability to even run Android apps on a Windows desktop for the first time ever. Now, a recent survey has claimed that only 38 percent of users know about the upcoming release of Windows 11, which is scheduled to arrive on Monday itself.

The survey was conducted by Savings.com on September 17, when it interviewed over a thousand Windows users to understand how much they knew about the upcoming Windows 11 update, as GizChina reports. According to the report, the survey found that from the age group of 18-24, or young adults, only 28 percent were aware of the Windows 11 update, while among the users above the age of 55, around 56 percent of users were aware of Microsoft’s upcoming update.

In what is less surprising, the report also claims that users were also unaware of whether their computer was eligible to receive the update. Microsoft had previously faced users ire for not being clear about why PCs and laptops were not compatible with the Windows 11 upgrade, after which the company reworked its Windows PC Health Check tool to check for compatibility and re-released the software to the public. The report states that the survey found two-thirds of users surveyed were not aware of whether their PC could run Windows 11.

Another surprise regarding Windows 11 is that some users also appear to be unsure about whether they should upgrade to Windows 11. According to the report, 41 percent of respondents said they will upgrade while 45 percent are currently unsure, while 14 percent reportedly stated that they will not be upgrading to Windows 11 — which is something users can choose to do as Windows 10 will continue to be supported by Microsoft until 2025.
